Ahmya McKeithan joined Kansas Athletics as a Student-Athlete Development Specialist and McLendon Future Leader in August 2026.
McKeithan works within KU LEADS to create meaningful opportunities that empower student-athletes to grow beyond their sport, build leadership skills and prepare for success both during and after their collegiate careers. In this role, she supports the personal, professional and leadership development of Kansas student-athletes.
A former Kansas Track and Field student-athlete, McKeithan competed for the Jayhawks from 2020-24. Originally from Washington, D.C., Ahmya brings firsthand experience as a student-athlete to her work, providing a unique perspective on the challenges, opportunities and experiences that shape the collegiate athletic journey.
McKeithan graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration. Her academic and professional interests center around leadership development, student-athlete engagement, public service, and creating opportunities that support the holistic development of college student-athletes.
