Bio

Andy Eisch joined the Kansas Athletics staff in July of 2019 and works as an assistant athletics director for strategic communications, working with the Kansas football, track and field and cross country, while assisting with all 16 Kansas athletics programs.

Eisch arrived to Kansas in 2019 as an assistant director of communications, working as the secondary for the Kansas football program, while working with the Kansas track and field, cross country, swim & dive and women's tennis programs, among others. He was later promoted to director of football communications in January of 2022.

Eisch came to KU from Kansas State, where he served as a graduate assistant for their communications department. At K-State, he served as the primary contact for K-State track & field and women’s rowing, while assisting with all 16 sports programs.

Eisch earned his Master of Science degree from Kansas State in 2018, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Counseling and Student Development with a certificate in Academic Advising. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 2016, where he majored in Communications with a triple emphasis in journalism, public relations and organizational communication.

Originally from Wautoma, Wis., Eisch is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), College Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
