Christian Cornella-Carlson joined the Kansas Athletics staff in July 2026, and he serves as the Development Coordinator for the Williams Education Fund.
Cornella-Carlson began his career in collegiate athletics as a men's basketball manager at Jacksonville University in 2021, serving in the role through his graduation in 2023. He then served as the athletics marketing graduate assistant while earning his Master of Business Administration in 2024.
Following Jacksonville, Cornella-Carlson spent two years at Tulane University in New Orleans as the career and professional development graduate assistant for student-athlete enhancement, while also serving as an intern with the Green Wave Club. His experience with the Green Wave Club confirmed his passion for athletic fundraising and development as he pursues his long-term goal of becoming a Division I Athletics Director.
Originally from Hartland, Wisconsin, Christian is a proud alum of Arrowhead High School. He earned his bachelor's degree and MBA from Jacksonville University before completing his Master of Science in Sport Studies at Tulane University. His parents, Curtis, and Tracey, along with his three sisters, Courtney, Kirsten, and Kaitlyn, have been some of the biggest supporters throughout his journey.
