Christian Ryckman joined the Kansas Athletics staff in a full-time capacity in May 2026, where he currently serves as the Development Coordinator for the Williams Education Fund.
Ryckman has undergraduate experience with the department, where he started in June 2023 as the Facilities & Events Summer intern. In September 2023, he served as a part-time Athletics Director Administration Assistant until August 2025, before working as the Development Intern for the Williams Education Fund.
In his current role, Ryckman’s daily responsibilities include leading K Club operations, communications, events, and social media efforts, while supporting basketball and Olympic sport hospitality, special events, and postseason travel. He also assists with stewardship initiatives, donor and ticketing operations, historical record management, and game-day activations for Kansas Athletics.
Originally from Olathe, Kansas, Ryckman earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a minor in business from the University of Kansas in 2025. Before transferring to KU, Ryckman was a part of the Benedictine College men’s basketball team from 2020-22, in Atchison, Kansas.
