Dr. David Embers is in his first year as an Assistant Team Physician at the University of Kansas after joining the staff in the summer of 2025. He is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine. A Kansas native, Dr. Embers completed his medical degree, residency in Family Medicine, and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Kansas.
Embers is Registered in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK) and has authored multiple case reports and research projects focused on injury prevention, opioid use in sports medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound education. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound, concussion management, orthobiologic interventions, and acute sports injuries elite athletes.Â
