David Parker joined the Kansas football staff in 2026 as an offensive analyst, working with the Jayhawks' tight ends. Parker brings more than a decade of experience at the collegiate level, having worked with offenses and special teams units across the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, and American Athletic Conference.
Parker arrives in Lawrence after spending the previous five seasons at Penn State Football. He served as an offensive analyst from 2023-25 following two seasons as an offensive graduate assistant from 2021-22. During his time in Happy Valley, Parker assisted with offensive game planning, player development, opponent scouting, and weekly preparation for one of the nation's premier programs.
Prior to Penn State, Parker served as an offensive and special teams graduate assistant at Nebraska during the 2020 season. Earlier that year, he worked as a defensive analyst at Charlotte after spending the 2019 season as an offensive quality control coach at Miami (Fla.).
Before his stops at Miami, Charlotte, and Nebraska, Parker spent three seasons in the Big Ten at Minnesota, where he worked as a defensive quality control coach from 2017-18. He also served as a defensive quality control coach at Arkansas in 2016 after beginning his coaching career as a student assistant with the Razorbacks from 2012-15.
Parker earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Arkansas in 2015 and later completed a master's degree in educational leadership from Penn State in 2023.
