Rain showers throughout the night and early morning forced a cancellation of Sunday’s scheduled Kansas softball game against Nevada at 11 a.m.
The Jayhawks went 2-2 over the weekend during the Kajikawa Classic picking up wins over two ranked opponents in No. 7 Arizona and No. 9 Northwestern. It marked KU’s first back-to-back wins over top 25 teams since Kansas defeated No. 18 Baylor on May 11, 2006, followed by a win against No. 12 Nebraska the next day.
KU will return to the diamond next weekend Feb. 13-15 for the UCF Invite in Orlando, Fla.
