LAWRENCE, Kan. - No. 9 Kansas Volleyball is set to take on the No. 21 Utah Utes inside Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena on Saturday afternoon.Â
"Utah comes into this match playing very well with a dynamic offensive team that also serves and defends well," said Kansas Head Coach Ray Bechard. "Our group is very excited about the opportunity."
Kansas comes into Saturday's contest still perfect in Big 12 play, with an 8-0 record in conference matches so far. Kansas carries a 17-1 record overall, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Creighton on September 21. The Jayhawks boast a 8-1 record at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena this season, and the Jayhawks are 22-3 at home in their last 25 matches.Â
The Utes travel to Lawrence after defeating Kansas State in four sets Thursday night. Utah is ranked No. 21 in the country, with a 16-3 overall record, and a conference record of 6-2, with both of those losses coming from ranked teams. Â
Kansas and Utah only have one prior meeting on the volleyball court, taking place in 2022 in Salt Lake City, where Kansas topped the Utes in four sets, 3-1.Â
