LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's basketball concludes its season-opening four-game home stand on Sunday, Nov. 17, when the Jayhawks host North Alabama.

Tipoff from Allen Fieldhouse is set for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Dave Stewart (play-by-play) and Wayne Simien (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis and David Lawrence calling the action.

Kansas improved to 3-0 on the season with a 75-56 victory over Omaha on Nov. 14. The Jayhawks also have victories over Lindenwood and Sam Houston State to open the season.
S'Mya Nichols led the Jayhawks with 16 points and a career-high nine assists against Omaha, while all eight players who appeared in the game for KU scored at least six points.

The Jayhawks are now 3-0 for the third time in the past four seasons and the sixth time overall in 10 seasons under head coach
Brandon Schneider. Kansas was picked to finish eighth in the Big 12 preseason poll and the Jayhawks have won at least 20 games and a game in the postseason in each of the past three seasons.

A Preseason All-Big 12 selection, Nichols has led the Jayhawks and scored in double figures in each game this season, most recently with 16 points against Omaha. Nichols is currently the No. 8 leading scorer in the Big 12 with 18.3 points per game. She also leads the Jayhawks with 19 assists (6.3 per game) and free throw shooting at 71.4 percent (20-28).Â

Sania Copeland has scored in double figures in each of the past two games after scoring 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting against Omaha. Copeland has knocked down a team-leading seven three-pointers this season, including three apiece in wins over Sam Houston and Omaha.

Nadira Eltayeb set a career-high with eight rebounds against Sam Houston, then matched that number again in the win over Omaha. Eltayeb has now grabbed a team-high 18 rebounds (6.0 per game) in addition to 3.7 points and 1.0 blocks per game.

Kansas got contributions from all eight players who saw the court in the win over Omaha, including six different players hitting a three-pointer as the Jayhawks finished a season-best 11-of-21 from downtown. Copeland and
Carla Osma led the way with three three-pointers apiece, while
Zoe Canfield went 2-for-6 from long range in her first regular season action.

North Alabama comes to Lawrence with a record of 2-1 following a 71-62 home victory over South Alabama on Nov. 15. The Lions previously won 66-63 at UT Martin on Nov. 4 and suffered a 73-64 defeat at Tennessee Tech on Nov. 10.

This will be the first all-time meeting between Kansas and North Alabama in women's basketball. Led by first-year head coach Candi Whitaker, the Lions were picked ninth in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll after finishing 12-18 (8-8 ASUN) last season.
