Kansas is coming off a 78-57 win against Oakland on Nov. 16 in Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks are 4-0 for the fourth-consecutive season and the 11th time in the
Bill Self era (since 2003-04). UNCW remained undefeated with an 89-85 win at USC Upstate on Nov. 15. This will be the first meeting between Kansas and UNCW in men's basketball.

Bill Self passed Phog Allen as the winningest coach in KU history. Self is 592-143 in his 22nd season at KU. Phog Allen was 590-129 in 36 seasons on the KU sidelines.

At 799-248, Self is one win from No. 800 for his career. When he reaches the 800-win plateau he will be 16th overall and third active coach to reach 800 wins. He will join Arkansas coach John Calipari and Tennessee coach Rick Barnes.

Duke leads the overall series with Kansas, 7-6, but the Jayhawks have defeated the Blue Devils in two of the last three meetings. In the last battle, KU defeated Duke, 69-64, on Nov. 15, 2022, in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.
