LAWRENCE, Kan. -
Toyosi Onabanjo and
Camryn Turner of Kansas Volleyball were both selected in the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation draft.
"It's an exciting day for Kansas Volleyball to have two Jayhawks selected in the PVF draft," said Kansas Head Coach Ray Bechard. "Camryn and Toyosi both have unique skill sets and personal attributes that will translate well as they move to the professional level."
Onabanjo was selected in the first round as the No. 8 pick overall, and after her collegiate she will join the Omaha Supernovas to play for former Kansas Volleyball assistant coach Laura "Bird" Kuhn. Former Jayhawks Kelsie Payne and
Reagan Cooper are also members of the Supernovas squad, so Cooper and Onabanjo will get to reunite once again after a stellar season together in 2023.
Turner will head to Grand Rapids, Michigan as she was picked No. 22 overall by the Grand Rapid Rise. Turner, the reigning Big 12 Setter of the Year, was the first at her position to be selected and one of just three total setters in this year's draft class.
Both Turner and Onabanjo will close out their collegiate seasons with the team before heading to their respective training camps, which will both get underway in mid-December.
The dynamic duo can be seen together in action for their Senior Day on Wednesday, November 27 in the Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena. The Jayhawks will square off with BYU at 6:30 p.m., and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.
