No. 1 Kansas to Play at Border Showdown Foe Missouri Sunday

LAWRENCE, Kan. — No. 1 Kansas (7-1) will play its second-consecutive road contest at Missouri (7-1) on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 12 p.m. CT. The game will be played at Mizzou Arena and will be televised on ESPN2.

Kansas is coming off a 76-63 loss at Creighton on Dec. 4. Kansas has been 7-1 or better in 17 of the 22 seasons under Bill Self. Under Self, since 2003-04, Kansas is 123-20 (86.0%) following a loss. Missouri won its seventh-straight game with a 98-93 victory against California on Dec. 3.

Kansas leads the overall series with Missouri, 176-95, and the Jayhawks have won the last five meetings.

The Jayhawks average 80.3 points per game and have a +13.1 scoring margin. KU pulls down 36.8 rebounds per contest with a +3.5 rebound margin. Kansas is making 50.3% from the field, including 34.6% from three-point range. Kansas leads the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.14. Graduate G Dajuan Harris Jr. is a four-year starter who is averaging 10.4 points and 6.0 assists per game. Harris leads the Big 12 in assist-to-turnover ratio at 4.80, which is ninth nationally. His 6.0 assists per game also lead the conference. Senior F KJ Adams is a starter who posted a career-high-tying 22 points against Furman (11/30) and averages 9.6 points per game. Adams has 22 assists, nine blocked shots and six steals. Junior G AJ Storr has started the last three games and he is scoring 9.3 points per contest. Storr has made nine threes this season.
Junior G Rylan Griffen is tied for second on the team with 10 threes made. He is averaging 8.1 ppg and has started five games this season. Freshman F Flory Bidunga is scoring 7.3 points per game and is 26-for-31 (83.9%) from the field. Other KU regulars include senior G David Coit (5.9 ppg, 10 3FGs, 15 assists), redshirt-junior F Zach Clemence (1.8 ppg) and freshman G Rakease Passmore (1.6 ppg).
