LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas Softball and head coach Jennifer McFalls announced the Jayhawks' 2026 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by an exciting slate of early-season tournaments and a competitive Big 12 lineup featuring eight home series at Arrocha Ballpark at Rock Chalk Park.
We're really looking forward to another competitive preseason tournament schedule in 2026, McFalls said. Spending the first three weeks in Florida gives us a great opportunity to test ourselves early against quality opponents from the SEC and Big Ten. Our team has put together a strong and focused fall, and I think that work will set the tone for what we expect to be another challenging and exciting 2026 season.
Kansas opens the campaign in Tampa, Florida, for back-to-back weekends at South Florida. The Jayhawks begin play Feb. 6–8 at the USF-Rawlings Invitational, facing Bethune-Cookman, Illinois State, USF, Michigan, and Florida. KU will remain in the Sunshine State the following week for the Fonseca Memorial Tournament (Feb. 12–14), again hosted by USF, with matchups against Indiana State, Boston College, DePaul, Yale, and the host Bulls.
The Jayhawks continue tournament play Feb. 19–21, staying in Florida for the FAU Tournament in Boca Raton, before wrapping up nonconference tournament action at the Woo Pig Classic in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Feb. 27–March 1. At that tournament, KU will take on Omaha, Boise State, Charlotte, and Arkansas.
Kansas makes its 2026 home debut on March 6–7, hosting Utah State for a three-game set at Arrocha Ballpark. The Jayhawks' home opener will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Big 12 schedule begins the following week, with Kansas traveling to Houston (March 13–15) for its first conference series. League play continues throughout the spring with home weekends against Utah (March 20–22), Arizona State (April 2–4), Baylor (April 10–12), and Iowa State (April 24–26). KU will also host nonconference matchups versus South Dakota (March 17), in-state rival Wichita State (April 29), and Border Showdown rival Missouri on April 15.
On the road, the Jayhawks will visit BYU (March 27–29), UCF (April 17–19), and Oklahoma State (May 1–3). The Big 12 Softball Tournament, presented by Allstate, will once again be held at Devon Park in Oklahoma City from May 7–9.
All Kansas home games will stream live on ESPN+, and fans can follow the Jayhawks throughout the season on KUathletics.com and on social media at @KUSoftball.
