LAWRENCE, Kan. -Â Kansas track & field announced its 2025-2026 schedule on Tuesday for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. The Jayhawks are set to host three meets in Lawrence, kicking off the season with an Intrasquad Meet on December 3rd.
Kansas' indoor season consists of eight regular-season meets, before traveling to Lubbock, Texas, for the Big 12 Indoor Championships. The Jayhawks open with three straight meets in the state of Kansas with its Intrasquad Meet on December 3rd, before traveling to Manhattan, Kansas on January 16th and 30-31 for the Thane Baker Invitational and Steve Miller Invitational, respectively.
The Jayhawks will then hit the road, traveling to Ames, Iowa, for the ISU Classic on February 7th, before splitting the squad to compete in both the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and the BU David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 13-14.
Regular season events will conclude the weekend of February 20-21, with some athletes competing at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on February 20th and others competing in South Bend, Indiana at the Alex Wilson Invitational on February 21st.
Texas Tech will host the Indoor Big 12 Championships on February 27-28 for the fourth straight year, with qualifying athletes moving on to the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, from March 13-14.
Kansas will then turn its attention to the outdoor season, beginning with the Jayhawk Spring Fling on March 21st in Lawrence, Kansas. The team follows it up by competing at the ESU Spring Open in Emporia, Kansas, on March 27th.
After the opening meets, the Jayhawks will head south for the LSU Battle on the Bayou from April 3-4. Kansas' multievent competitors then travel to Azusa, California, for the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 9-10, before the other events occur from April 16-18.
Kansas will wrap up its outdoor regular season with the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on April 24th before heading back to Lawrence to close with the Rock Chalk Classic on May 1-2.
Following an off week, Kansas will take on the rest of the Big 12 in Tucson, Arizona, from May 14-16 during the Big 12 Outdoor Championships. From there, qualifying athletes will move on to compete in the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 27-30 before the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 10-13.
