LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Three student-athletes were recognized for their excellence in the classroom and in competition, as College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced today. Rhian Swanson earned CSC Academic All-District honors, while Reese Ptacek and Ryan White were named Academic All-District finalists for the 2025 season.
The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement while competing at a high level athletically. To be eligible for consideration, nominees must hold a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have competed in at least 90 percent of their institution's matches or started at least 66 percent of contests during the season.
With this year's three honorees, Kansas has now earned 19 CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District selections all-time. The Jayhawks have produced Academic All-District honorees in back-to-back seasons, with four selections in 2024 followed by three more in 2025, continuing the program's strong tradition of academic excellence.
Swanson earned an Academic All-District distinction after meeting the program's academic and competitive standards throughout the season.
Ptacek and White were named Academic All-District finalists and will advance to Academic All-America consideration, recognizing their excellence both academically and athletically.
