MANILA, Philippines – Former Kansas soccer defender Kaela Hansen is currently training with the Philippine Women's National Team from Feb. 17-26. Hansen was one of 32 players invited to training camp in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

Hansen is currently a member of AFC Toronto, who is preparing for its inaugural season in the Northern Super League. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native played for Kuopion Palloseura in Finland in 2024 and ŽFK Spartak Subotica in Serbia in 2023, where she helped her team become league and cup champions.

At Kansas, Hansen started every game from the start of the 2018 season to the end of the 2022 season, which totaled 98 consecutive matches. In 2022, Hansen became the program leader for career starts and minutes played.

Hansen was a member of the 2019 Big 12 Championship team and was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team all four years she was eligible.
