LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks will face a nationally ranked opponent for the second-straight game as KU opens a two-game road swing at No. 18 West Virginia on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Tipoff from the WVU Coliseum is set for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Nick Farrell (play-by-play), Meg Bulger (analyst) and Amanda Mazey (sideline) on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis calling the action.

Kansas (14-8, 4-7 Big 12) is coming off a 91-64 defeat against No. 11 Kansas State in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown on Sunday at Allen Fieldhouse.
Sania Copeland led the Jayhawks by matching a season-high with 17 points.
Elle Evans added 13 points, while
Laia Conesa scored in double figures for the sixth-straight game with 12.

S'Mya Nichols was limited to nine points in the Kansas State game, marking only her second time this season scoring less than 10 points. Nichols, the Big 12's No. 3 leading scorer, averages 20.2 points per game and is on the cusp of a pair of milestones. Nichols enters the week 48 points away from becoming the 33rd player in program history to score 1,000 points while wearing a Kansas uniform. She is also the nation's leader in free throws made with 181 this season, which is 14 away from Angela Aycock's single season school record of 195, set during the 1994-95 season.

Copeland reached double figures in scoring for the fifth time this season and first time since Dec. 11 vs. Kansas City as she put up 17 points, all in the fourth quarter, vs. Kansas State. Copeland was 6-for-8 from the field and 3-for-3 from three-point range in the game and has increased her scoring average to 6.3 points per game for the season.

Conesa scored in double figures for the sixth straight game as she totaled 12 points against KSU. Conesa is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 7.8 points per game while shooting 83.3 percent (40-48) from the free throw line.

Evans hit three three-pointers and scored 13 points vs. Kansas State. Evans has now made a team-leading 50 three-pointers this season, shooting 39.1 percent (50-128) from three, and she's KU's No. 2 leading scorer at 14.0 points per game.

West Virginia is ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press Top 25 this week following a 54-37 home win over No. 24 Oklahoma State on Saturday. The Mountaineers are 17-4 on the year and currently tied for fifth in the Big 12 standings at 7-3. WVU leads the league in scoring defense (53.2 ppg), steals (14.6), turnovers forced (25.2) and turnover margin (+9.1).

JJ Quinerly leads WVU with 19.2 points per game and ranks No. 5 in the nation with an average of 3.5 steals per game. The Mountaineers have two other double-digit scorers in Jordan Harrison (13.2 ppg) and Sydney Shaw (12.7).

Kansas and West Virginia have met 25 times in series history, which dates back to 1992. WVU leads the all-time series 18-7, including a 9-3 mark in Morgantown. WVU has won the last two meetings, including an 85-60 win in the lone meeting last season in Lawrence.Â
