Sania Copeland and
Elle Evans have been named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom.

The selection process is through College Sports Communicators (CSC), which is a national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.

Conesa, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, started 25 games at point guard for the Jayhawks. She led the team with 49 steals, ranked fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 7.4 points per game, and was third with 47 assists. Conesa holds a 3.65 grade point average at KU while majoring in Pre-Business.

Copeland, a junior from Kansas City, Kansas, started 29-of-30 games in her first season at KU after transferring from Wisconsin. She averaged 5.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, while ranking second on the team with 56 assists and 46 steals. Copeland has maintained a 3.77 cumulative grade point average with a major in Liberal Arts and Studies.

Evans, a junior from Edwardsville, Illinois, earned an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection following her first year at Kansas. She was KU's No. 2 leading scorer at 14.4 points per game, a mark that was improved to 15.1 points per game during league play. Evans hit 69 three-pointers this season, which is tied for the second-most in school history, while shoot 42.1 percent (69-164) from long range, which ranks fifth in school history. Her 84.5 percent (60-71) shooting from the free throw line also ranks second in program history for a single season. Evans has a 3.54 grade point average throughout her career while majoring in Business Administration.

To qualify for the all-district team, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve who has participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games while keeping a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA at her current institution.
The trio now advances to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be voted on and announced later this spring.
