Jayhawks Open Big 12 Tournament in Texas as No. 8 Seed

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas women's tennis will head to Waco, Texas to compete in the Big 12 Women's Tournament between April 16-20 at the Hurd Tennis Center.
Kansas finished the season with a win over Kansas State, granting the Jayhawks the No. 8 seed and a first round bye in the tournament. Kansas will play on Thursday, April 17th at 4 p.m. against the winner of the first round matchup between No. 9 seed TCU and No. 16 seed Houston.
Kansas remained at No. 39 in the country in this week's team rankings. Gracie Mulville and Heike Janse van Vuuren remained in the doubles rankings, coming in at No. 34. Mulville is currently ranked at No. 116 in singles rankings this week.Â
The Jayhawks faced off against both TCU and Houston this year, with both matches resulting in 4-1 wins for Kansas.Â
