LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kansas junior shortstop Hailey Cripe was named to the 2025 NFCA All-Region Third Team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Thursday. This marks the first NFCA All-Region honor of her career.
A native of Royal Center, Indiana, Cripe earned the honor following a standout junior campaign, starting all 50 games for the Jayhawks and anchoring the infield with consistent play and leadership.
At the plate, Cripe ranked second on the team with a .329 batting average, collecting 47 hits, 34 RBIs, 29 runs, and 10 home runs. Her 10 homers marked a personal best in her three seasons with Kansas.
Defensively, Cripe was a consistent and steady force at shortstop. She posted a season best .948 fielding percentage, recording 212 total chances with 82 putouts and 119 assists. Her 119 assists ranked fourth in the Big 12 at the end of the regular season. She also contributed to eight double plays on the year.
"I am really excited for Hailey Cripe. She is so deserving of this recognition," said Kansas head coach Jennifer McFalls. "She had a great year for the Jayhawks at shortstop and was one of our top hitters in the lineup. Hailey raises the bar every day with her leadership, work ethic, and competitive attitude."
The NFCA awards honor softball student-athletes from the association's eight regions with first, second, and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated their student-athletes and voted for the teams. All the honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
