Kansas Begins Big 12 Championship Thursday at Globe Life Field

ARLINGTON, Texas – Kansas baseball will open the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT on ESPNU at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. The Jayhawks will play the winner of Baylor and Oklahoma State, which is set for 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

Kansas (42-14, 20-10 Big 12) earned the No. 2 seed in the field, marking its highest Big 12 finish in program history. The Jayhawks finished with more overall wins (42) and conference wins (20) than any team in the Big 12.

KU received a first round bye and an automatic spot in the tournament's quarterfinals by finishing with one of the four best winning percentages in the conference. On the Kansas side of the bracket is No. 3 TCU, No. 6 Kansas State, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 10 Baylor and No. 11 Houston.

The other side of the bracket is No. 1 West Virginia, No. 4 Arizona, No. 5 Arizona State, No. 8 Cincinnati, No. 9 Texas Tech and No. 12 BYU. UCF and Utah did not qualify for the tournament.
