QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"Cooper was awesome. I thought his efficiency was incredible. He stumbled into a little bit of a longer pitch count in the sixth, but it was at 94 through seven. We put him out there for the eighth and then he wanted the ball in the ninth and he was going back out there and then he sat for a while and once we spread it that far it didn't make sense to bring him in. I thought Cooper was fantastic. Thought we played great defense and then we had some opportunities early to break it open and didn't, but we found a way. Loved the fight, loved the effort and it's a great team win." – Head Coach
Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"I filled up the zone early and often. Not getting behind in counts and not making it to three-ball counts was a big key tonight. We didn't really have to change anything tonight. Everyone on our teams has talent. Guys stepped up and came in to do their job. They were electric and a spark plug for us which was awesome." –
Cooper Moore
Â
"We went back to playing team baseball. I think that's where we started the year is playing team baseball. Finding a way on, finding a way to get the runners over and finding a way to get them in. It's easy to get away from that approach and I feel like we got back to it tonight." –
Chase Diggins
Â
"It meant the world for me to do this in front of my parents. I haven't seen them in a while. To hit a home run in front of my mom and my dad, it felt awesome." –
Chase Diggins
