LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer has been ranked No. 25 in the TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Poll. The preseason ranking is the first for Kansas since the split 2020-21 season.Â
Â
The Jayhawks enter the 2025 season coming off a 13-6-4 campaign that featured a Big 12 Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance, both coming for the first time since 2019. Over the final month of the season, Kansas went on an eight-match winning streak to tie the program record for the longest winning streak. That streak included knocking off the number one, two, and three seeds to claim the league's tournament championship. Head coach
Nate Lie, who will be entering his second season, became the first head coach in Big 12 soccer history to win the tournament championship in their first year leading a program.
Â
Kansas is one of three Big 12 schools ranked in the poll, along with TCU (No. 16) and Texas Tech (No. 19). Last season, Kansas was ranked as high as No. 16 by TopDrawerSoccer on Nov. 11.Â
