LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks have a McDonald's All-American for the second-consecutive season after Class of 2026 signee Cydnee Bryant was chosen to participate in the 2026 McDonald's All-America game on Tuesday, March 31, at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Bryant becomes the fourth McDonald's All-American in Kansas women's basketball history and the third to sign with the Jayhawks out of high school. Current KU freshman and five-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Jaliya Davis was selected to participate in the game last year, becoming the first Jayhawk signee named to the game since Lauren Ervin in 2003. Jessica Washington was selected to play in the game in 2013 and played at North Carolina for two seasons before finishing her career at Kansas from 2017-19.
A 6-foot-4 center from Riverside, California, Bryant is rated a four-star prospect and ranked No. 33 in the Class of 2026 by ESPNW. She is the third-highest ranked recruit signed by Kansas during head coach
Brandon Schneider's tenure, trailing only Davis (No. 19) and fellow Jayhawk freshman
Keeley Parks (No. 31).
Bryant is part of a three-player signing class ranked by ESPNW as the No. 20 recruiting class in the country. She is joined by four-star forward Brooklynn Renn of Sellersburg, Indiana, and three-star guard Mollie Ernstes of North Vernon, Indiana. Kansas has now had four Top 25 classes in Schneider's tenure, including the Class of 2025, which ranked No. 7 nationally. Kansas also landed the No. 18 class in 2015 and the No. 24 class in 2023, a group that included current Jayhawks
S'Mya Nichols and
Laia Conesa.
