LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawks are set for a Big 12 Conference clash with BYU on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Allen Fieldhouse.

Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Brenda VanLengen (play-by-play) and Niccolly Wuellner (analyst) on the call. Fans can also listen on the Jayhawk Radio Network from Learfield, with Steven Davis and David Lawrence calling the action.

Kansas has dropped two-straight games following a 69-66 overtime defeat against Colorado on Sunday at Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks have dropped consecutive one-possession games after also falling 79-77 at No. 12 TCU on Jan. 29.

Junior guard
S'Mya Nichols led the Jayhawks with 22 points, five assists and three rebounds against Colorado. She hit 12-of-14 free throws attempted in the game, marking the seventh time this season that she's made at least 10 free throws in a game. Freshman forward
Jaliya Davis had 14 points and six rebounds in the game, while senior guard
Elle Evans added 12 points and a season-high nine rebounds.

The Jayhawks are now 13-10 on the season and 3-8 in Big 12 play with seven games remaining in the regular season. Kansas will play four of those seven games at Allen Fieldhouse, where the Jayhawks are 8-4 this season, including an 83-61 victory over Kansas State on Jan. 25.

Kansas will host a BYU team that's 16-6 on the year and 5-5 in Big 12 play following a 77-65 rivalry victory over Utah on Jan. 31. BYU leads the conference in rebounding and is led by reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year Delaney Gibb, who averages 16.7 points per game.

Kansas has won all four meetings against BYU since the Cougars joined the Big 12 Conference, including a 67-53 win on Jan. 31, 2024, in the only other meeting at Allen Fieldhouse.

Davis became the third player in Big 12 history to be named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week in five straight weeks when she claimed the award on Feb. 2. Davis averaged 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the week while shooting 53.6 percent from the field. A five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American, Davis is the No. 2 leading scorer in the Big 12 during league play, averaging 21.9 points per game.

Nichols recorded her 11th game of 20+ points this season and 36th of her career as she scored 22 points against Colorado. With 12 free throws made, Nichols maintains her national lead in both free throws made (156) and attempted (189). KU's all-time leader in free throws made with 540 in her career, Nichols ranks fourth in the Big 12 with an average of 18.1 points per game for the year.

Evans has scored in double figures 11 times this season, including three times in the past four games after scoring 12 points against Colorado. She was 2-for-6 from three-point range in the Colorado game and is now second in the nation in three-point shooting, hitting 48.1 percent (50-104) of her attempts from long range this season.

Kansas has a McDonald's All-American for the second-consecutive after Cydnee Bryant was chosen to participate in the 2026 game. Bryant becomes the fourth McDonald's All-American in program history, joining future teammate
Jaliya Davis in receiving the honor. A 6-foot-4 center from Riverside, California, Bryant is a four-star prospect and ranked No. 33 in the Class of 2026.
