QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"We got off to such a great start. Kannon was so good. We needed to get [Mason Cook] in the game and we thought we were in a good spot to do it. He comes in and punches out the first guy. I believe it was their first strikeout of the game. They were just so aggressive. Then, we ran into all kinds of issues in the fourth and you look up and it's 8-6, but the awesome part was the run in the fifth to make it 8-7. As soon as it was 8-7, I literally just looked in our dugout and I just thought, with these guys it doesn't matter the score, it doesn't matter the time, it doesn't matter the field. These guys love competing and they love each other. They're such a tight unit and I think when you have guys that are playing for the name on the front and playing for the guys to their right and left it's pretty special and I'm really proud of these guys." – Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"It was awesome. Originally, going up to the plate I was supposed to lay down a bunt and move the runners over so Brady behind me could do the job. The pitcher ended up putting me in a position where I was in a hitter's count. It was amazing. It was a great atmosphere. They were loud tonight. After I hit the home run, to see everyone scatter, that was awesome." – Tyson LeBlanc
