• Kansas (9-4) responded immediately with five runs in the bottom of the first inning. After loading the bases, Tyson Owens cleared them with a triple to right-center field. • The Jayhawks were able to extend their lead again in the sixth. Max Soliz Jr. had an RBI single that pushed the lead back to two runs. Bach came up next and hit a three-run homer down the left field line. That stretched the Kansas lead to 9-4. Â
• Kansas tacked on one more run in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Bach to make it 10-4.

QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"We hit the ball really good in the strike zone. We had eight walks to seven strikeouts, so we're plus one there, and then you throw up 13 hits. A lot of pressure by us offensively to the middle of the field. I thought we did a nice job and had glimpses of that yesterday, but I really liked how the guys showed up today and obviously our pitching was good too. Good team effort." – Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"I think we have the potential to be a really dangerous, dynamic offense. I think some of the guys are just starting to get going now, which is really exciting to see. Shoutout to the pitching staff too for picking us up while we're kind of figuring things out. I think today is who we are and who we'll be moving forward." – Jordan Bach
Â
• Kansas stole a season-high six bases on Friday. That is the most by a Kansas team since March 13, 2019 vs. Seton Hall when the Jayhawks also had six stolen bases.
• Kansas improved to 9-4 overall on the season and 2-0 at home.
• Kansas matched its seasons highs of 11 runs and 13 hits.
• Kansas scored double-digit runs for the third time this season.
• Bach hit his third home run of the season. He finished with a career-high-tying four RBIs and also matched his career high with two stolen bases.
• Baldridge blasted his second homer of the year.
• Tyson LeBlanc had a career-high three stolen bases. That is the most by a Jayhawk in a game since Zach Hanna had three stolen bases at Charleston Southern on Feb. 22, 2020.
