LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 18 Kansas baseball extended its winning streak to a season-best 11 games with a 5-2 victory against Wichita State on Tuesday night at Hoglund Ballpark. The Jayhawks have their longest winning streak since 1994 and are 17-2 in their last 19 contests.

QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"Great effort. I thought we got some length from our lineup today stringing together some hits. We never really threw that final punch to knock them out, but you got to tip your cap to Wichita State for pitching out of some jams. I thought it got away from Kannon for a second in the second, but he was able to get it back. Then, our bullpen was lights out. I think that Madden's four innings – we were planning on going to Madden at some point – he just had some really efficient innings. That was huge. We kind of had it mapped where we had Toby, Ritter, West, and Boede ready to go, along with some other guys. Then, we snuck through the sixth with Madden and I thought that was a pivotal one because we were able to give West the night off. It was a great effort. I thought our preparation was fantastic and it's a really, really fun group to coach." – Head Coach
Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"I've been sticking to the approach that the whole team has. Our offense has been doing a great job, so I think we're all just consistently attacking the game the same way every day." –
Tyson LeBlanc
Â
"I think it was more of my mental approach to the game today. I was just super locked in, super confident in my stuff and it all played out. Right now, it seems like just about everything is going right. Our offense is doing a great job competing and we're hitting the ball hard. Then, our bullpen and our starters are doing a great job giving us good innings." –
Madden Seidl
Â
"We're playing really clean, good baseball right now. I think we can't get caught up in the numbers right now. Obviously, this past week was a big week for us, but as a team, collectively, we just have to go and approach every game the same way. It's no different." –
Tyson LeBlanc
