LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas women's golf had a record-high seven student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, the WGCA announced today. The seven Jayhawks named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team is a KU all-time best mark, surpassing the six honored the previous two years in 2023-24 and 2024-25.Â
Jayhawks to earn the 2025-26 honor include seniors Amy DeKock and Anna Wallin, junior Lyla Louderbaugh, sophomores Ebba Nordstedt and Jillian Fatkin, and freshmen Marieke Ebens and Kinslea Jones.
"I am incredibly proud of our record-setting seven student-athletes for earning this prestigious recognition this season," Kansas head coach Lindsay Kuhle said. "This achievement reflects their unwavering commitment to excellence, demonstrating their ability to excel academically while competing at the highest level of collegiate golf and successfully balancing the demands of travel and competition. Their accomplishment is a testament to the exceptional discipline and work ethic of the young women in our program. These ladies are driven, hardworking, and committed to being their very best in the classroom, on the course, and in the way they represent our team. This award reflects who they are, and I feel incredibly fortunate to coach such an outstanding group of student-athletes."
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.Â
Louderbaugh is receiving the honor for the third straight season, while DeKock and Nordstedt are getting recognized for the second times in their career. Wallins, Ebens, Fatkins and Jones are making their debut on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team.
