2008-09 (Junior): Kansas[apos] most versatile freestyle swimmer that is capable of scoring in short, and middle distance freestyle events… … She was a member of the school-record breaking 200 (1:31.39), 400 (3:19.18), and 800 (7:13.86) yard freestyle relay teams at the 2009 Big 12 Championships… Placed 13th in the 200 yard freestyle (1:49.01), 15th in the 500 yard freestyle, and 16th in the 100 yard freestyle (51.18) at the 2009 Big 12 Championships… As an individual participant, she earned KU seven points at the Big 12 Championships, but including the relays she earned the Jayhawks 99 points total… She had Kansas[apos] best season time in the 500 yard freestyle of 4:52.20… She also ranked in the top four in the team season-best times for the 50, 100, 200 and 1000 yard freestyle events… Her 200 yard freestyle time of 1:48.79 is the third-best in school-history and her 100 yard freestyle time of 50.41 is the fourth-best… A key performer in the season-opening upset of Arizona State as she was victorious in both the 200 and 500 yard freestyle events… She was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First team.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Made an instant impact in all freestyle events her first season as a Jayhawk after transferring from Indiana… Reached the finals in the 100, 200 and 500-yard freestyle events at the 2008 Big 12 Championship meet… Finished 13th at Big 12s in the 200-yard free event (1:49.90), the second-fastest KU time during the 2007-08 season… Recorded a 15th-place finish in the 100-yard free with a time of 51.54 at Big 12s, the third-fastest 100 free time for the Jayhawks on the season… Additionally placed 21st at the Big 12 meet in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.75… Was a member of the 400 free relay that finished third at Big 12s, along with the 800 free relay that finished fourth while posting a KU swimming all-time best time of 1:48.10 and the 200 free relay that finished fifth… Was a member of the 200, 400 and 800-yard free relays that all finished first and set pool records at the Nike Cup-Kenyon Invite… Placed second in the 200-yard free, fourth in the 500 free, seventh in the 100 free and 12th in the 50-yard free in her four individual events at the Nike Cup.
Freshman (University of Indiana): Competed for the University of Indiana her freshman year of college under head coach Ray Looze.
High School (Naperville North): Was a swimming letterwinner at Naperville North… Recorded a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle and a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle her sophomore year at the Illinois High School State meet… Won the 200-yard freestyle at the YMCA national meet… Finished second in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle at the Illinois State meet her junior year and second in the 200-yard free her senior year of high school.
Personal: Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada… Parents are Louis and Joan Lanteigne… Would like to be a teacher and swim coach after college… An elementary education, health and physical education major.
