LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Kansas track and field team will be competing at two different meets, the Arkansas Tyson Invitational and the David Hemery Boston Valentine Invitational, on February 14-15.Â
The Jayhawks are sending 29 men and 21 women across various event groups to the Arkansas Tyson Invitational, as they'll be looking to acquire more NCAA Indoor National marks by the conclusion of the weekend. So far,
Mason Meinershagen (No. 9, women's pole vault),
Anthony Meacham (No. 12, men's pole vault) and
Alexander Jung (No. 16, men's heptathlon) are athletes in position to compete at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, which takes the top 16 athletes in each event.Â
The small but mighty crew of six distance men and three distance women will be heading to Boston to compete in the prestigious David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
Tanner Newkirk,
Tanner Talley,
TJ Robinson,
Quenton Walion,
Peter Walsdorf and
Sawyer Schmidt are slated to compete on the men's side, while Emma Jemutai, Irine Jepkirui and
Kenadi Krueger will round things out on the women's side.Â
