LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's golf coach
Lindsay Kuhle has been named to the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride Watch List, announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Tuesday.
In just her fourth season at Kansas, Kuhle has led the Jayhawks to a program season-record six team titles and five individual titles in 2024-25, highlighted by Kansas and sophomore
Lyla Louderbaugh winning the program's first-ever NCAA Regional championships—both team and individual. With their first-place finish at the NCAA Columbus Regional last week, the Jayhawks secured their third NCAA Championship appearance in program history, and their first since 2014.
Kuhle has guided Kansas to a No. 23 national ranking in the WGCA poll, the highest end-of-season ranking in program history for the association. The Jayhawks are also ranked No. 21 nationally in the Scoreboard by Clippd poll. In the 2024-25 season, Kuhle's team has captured five individual titles, including three by
Lauren Clark and one each by
Lily Hirst and Louderbaugh. Clark was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team and earned Big 12 Golfer of the Month honors in February.
Kuhle and the Jayhawks are headed to Carlsbad, California, for their third NCAA Championship appearance in program history, taking place May 16-21 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's Champions Course.
Recognized as the highest annual coaching honor in women's collegiate golf, the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride is awarded annually to the top coach in Division I, II III and NAIA women's golf.
The award recipient will be announced after the upcoming NCAA Championship.
