LAWRENCE, Kan. – Seven Jayhawks were named to the Shrine Bowl 1000 Preseason Watch List, the Shrine Bowl announced on Monday. The Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List highlights 1,000 all-star game eligible players for the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl and the 2026 NFL Draft class.
Â
Among the Jayhawks listed on the Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch list are wide receiver Bryson Canty, quarterback Jalon Daniels, offensive lineman Bryce Foster, cornerback DJ Graham II, running back Daniel Hishaw Jr., defensive end Dean Miller and linebacker Joseph Sipp Jr.
Â
Last year, the Jayhawks were well represented at the East-West Shrine Bowl as cornerback Cobee Bryant, offensive lineman Bryce Cabeldue and cornerback Mello Dotson played for the East team.
Â
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on January 27, 2026. Players will be coached by NFL coaches, in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level. Â
Every year, approximately 1000 all-star game eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie minicamp. The Shrine Bowl aims for the 1000 Watch List to serve as a look into its scouting process, as well as begin to preview college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2025 NFL Draft class.
Â
The Jayhawks are just under a month away until the start of the 2025 season with the grand opening of the new David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 23 when Kansas hosts Fresno State. The season-opener serves as the first of seven games coming to Lawrence in 2025, with a full schedule and single-game non-conference tickets and season tickets still available here.
