Kansas Football to Host Open Practice on April 11 at Lawrence High School

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football will host an open practice on Saturday, April 11 at Lawrence High School as fans get their first look at the 2026 Jayhawks under sixth year head coach Lance Leipold.

Fans will have an opportunity to see the Jayhawks in action beginning at 11 a.m. at Lawrence high school as construction continues on phase II of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. Gates will open at 10 a.m. and practice will run until approximately 1 p.m. The practice is open to the general public and free parking is available at Lawrence high school.

Saturday's open practice will also feature a family fun zone, members of Kansas band and spirit, and a 20 minute post-practice meet and great on the field with Kansas football players and coaches. Fans can bring their own food and water for the open practice.

The open practice on April 11 will be Kansas' 12th practice of spring football as the Jayhawks prepare for the 2026 season. Kansas' 2026 squad features 32 transfer portal additions alongside key returners in offensive tackle Calvin Clements, wide receiver Cam Pickett, linebacker Trey Lathan, defensive tackle Blake Herold, defensive end Leroy Harris III and cornerbacks Jalen Todd and Austin Alexander, among others. Kansas also welcomes became Andy Kotelnicki, the leader of some of the most prolific offenses in school history.

Following Saturday's open practice, fans are encouraged to see Kansas baseball and softball in action, as Kansas baseball takes on UCF at Hoglund ballpark at 2 p.m. CT, while Kansas softball welcomes Baylor to Arrocha ballpark at 2 p.m.
