LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas Volleyball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator
Arica Nassar has been named to the 2025–26 ABIS Women's Volleyball Coaches Watchlist, the organization announced.
Selected by a panel of highly respected leaders across college volleyball, the ABIS Coaches Watchlist recognizes coaches who demonstrate excellence on the court while making a meaningful impact on the lives of student-athletes. The watchlist is shared with college commissioners, athletic directors, professional sports organizations, search firms, and media relations departments nationwide.
In her role at Kansas, Nassar has played a key role in elevating the Jayhawks program, helping bring next-level talent to Lawrence and contributing to Kansas' recent success in the NCAA Tournament. The Jayhawks advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2021, which earned a matchup against high talented No. 1 team, Nebraska, in postseason play.
Prior to joining Kansas, Nassar spent two seasons on the coaching staff at Oregon alongside Ulmer and Dillard. During her time with the Ducks, Oregon posted a 53–14 record and advanced to the Elite Eight in 2023 and the Sweet 16 in 2024. This past season, Nassar coached a trio of AVCA All-Americans in Mimi Colyer (Second Team), Onye Ofoegbu (Third Team), and Michelle Ohwobete (Honorable Mention). Colyer and Ofoegbu also earned All-Big Ten First Team honors, while Ohwobete was named to the Second Team.
A former collegiate athlete at Oregon State, Nassar went on to play professionally in Finland and Sweden before beginning her coaching career as a volunteer assistant at UCLA. She later returned to Oregon State before continuing her coaching journey at Oregon and Kansas.
