LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas women's tennis team continues its season-opening homestand this weekend, as the Jayhawks will face host Nebraska and No. 21 Clemson at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Admission to the Jayhawk Tennis Center is free.
The Jayhawks will play against Nebraska on Friday, Jan. 30, with action starting at 5 p.m. The team will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 1, facing off against No. 21 Clemson at 12 p.m. Kansas played Clemson last season on Feb. 16, but the Jayhawks fell 4-0.
Kansas comes into the weekend with a 2-0 record after sweeping Kansas City and Creighton in 5-0 matches on Jan. 23. Multiple players went 2-0 last weekend, including Heike Janse van Vuuren, Kyoka Kubo and Meg McCarty in singles play, while the pairings of van Vuuren/Kubo and Kinley VanPelt/McCarty went 2-0 in doubles play.
