QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"I didn't love how we came out of the gates. I thought we were on time with the pitcher, but it was either popped up or put on the ground. I liked that we kept it at 1-0 for that whole time and then obviously we punched it through in the fourth and fifth. I liked that guys stayed with the approach and stayed on it. I thought we were maybe a little too aggressive and then we had a couple punchouts looking. That's one of the best umpires in the country, so he's not wrong on those calls. I thought we were a little over aggressive ahead [in the count] and then I thought those first three innings, maybe a little bit on the defensive side of not being aggressive enough with two strikes, but obviously punched it through and it was a great team effort." – Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"They're incredible. I've said it a thousand times. They are the greatest student section in college baseball. I never saw them last year because they were above us and I'm not out on the field. To see them in action is amazing. They took up their section and then an entire other section. They're the best. We need them. They're a huge asset and a huge home field advantage for us. We didn't give them much to get fired up about in the first three innings, but in the fourth they got real loud, the fifth they got real loud and then they helped us close it out." – Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald
Â
"I was seeing the ball really good today. My first at-bat I got beat, so I told myself to be on time for the heaters. That's what I did my next at-bat when I hit the first home run." – Tyson LeBlanc
Â
"At the beginning of the game, (Cade) Baldridge and I were talking, we were like, 'dang, the students took up the student section plus some more'. They took up about three-fourths of the stadium. That was amazing on a midweek. I love the students." – Tyson LeBlanc

• Kansas improved to 16-8 overall this season.
• Kansas has won six consecutive games. The Jayhawks have scored 68 runs over the six-game winning streak.
• Kansas recorded its 11th comeback victory of the season.
