COLUMBIA, Mo. – Kansas baseball will head on the road Tuesday for a game against Missouri at Taylor Stadium. First pitch has been adjusted to 4:30 p.m. CT due to the potential for inclement weather later in the evening. The game will now be broadcast on SEC Network+.

Kansas (18-10, 6-3 Big 12) has gone 8-2 over its last 10 games and is averaging 9.3 runs per game over that stretch. The Jayhawks have scored at least eight runs in all eight wins. In the ninth inning alone on Sunday at Cincinnati, Kansas scored nine runs to claim the series.

Through the first half of the season, Kansas is 18-10 overall, with 10 of the wins coming on the road. In addition to 10 road wins, the Jayhawks have 12 comeback victories this year. Kansas is first in the Big 12 (T-8th nationally) in sacrifice flies (19), second in walks (163), fourth in strikeouts per nine innings (9.9), fifth in hits (265) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.34).

KU has matched its best nine-game start to Big 12 play in program history and has won six of its last seven Big 12 games. The only other time Kansas started 6-3 in Big 12 play was in 2025.

Missouri (17-12, 1-8 SEC) dropped its series this past weekend to Texas A&M. The Tigers have won games against Tennessee and Illinois since the Jayhawks last played them. Missouri is hitting .296 as a team and has posted a 5.40 ERA halfway through the season. PJ Green will start for Missouri on Tuesday afternoon.

BIG 12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Mathis Nayral and
Tyson LeBlanc each received Big 12 weekly honors, the conference office announced Monday. Nayral was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week and LeBlanc was selected as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

Nayral recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in a phenomenal seven innings of one-run ball on Saturday at Cincinnati. He allowed only three hits and one walk the entire day, to go along with his 11 punchouts. Nayral retired the final 14 batters he faced from the second out in the third inning through the end of the seventh inning.

LeBlanc hit .381/.417/1.000 (8-for-21), with a double, four home runs, 12 RBIs, five runs scored, two walks and a 1.417 OPS in five games last week. A native of Maurice, Louisiana, LeBlanc hit a home run in three of the five games and has hit six home runs in the last eight games.Â

SERIES HISTORY
Kansas and Missouri have a rivalry that dates back to 1894. The series favors Missouri 204-141-2. Kansas has won the last four games, including on March 18 in Lawrence and a season sweep in 2025. The Jayhawks run-ruled the Tigers 10-0 in seven innings a couple weeks ago. KU won 9-3 in Lawrence on April 29, 2025 and 6-5 in Columbia on May 6, 2025. The win from the previous season came on March 19, 2024 by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings at Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals.
