BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Kansas men's golf is set to travel to Bloomington, Indiana, to compete in the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational at the Pfau Golf Course on Saturday-Sunday, April 18-19.
"The Hoosier Collegiate is a big event and great preparation for the Big 12 Championship," Kansas coach Jamie Bermel said. "We get to play on a really good golf course and I'm certain we will get some weather as well."
Kansas is coming off a fifth-place finish at the Hootie Intercollegiate, marking their fourth consecutive top five finish on the season. Â
Kansas will compete in a 15-team field that includes host school Indiana, Ball State, Illinois, Little Rock, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Toledo, and Wisconsin.Â
Coach Jamie Bermel is set to travel with a lineup of seniors Will King, Luke Honner, junior Will Baker, sophomore Hartej Grewal, and freshman Arthur Carlier. Junior Noah Holtzman will also travel with the team and will compete as an individual.
The Jayhawks will tee off at 8:45 a.m. CT and be paired with Illinois, Little Rock, and Ohio State. The tournament format consists of a shotgun start both days, with 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.Â
"Our guys have had a good weekend of preparation, and everyone should be rested and ready to go,"Â Bermel said. "We have a good pairing in the first two rounds with Illinois, Ohio State, and Arkansas-Little Rock."
