COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Kansas men's golf team is set to travel to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the Tiger Invitational at The Club At Old Hawthorne from April 6-7.
"We have a big event in Missouri this week." Head coach Jamie Bermel said. "We handled Missouri well in Charleston in our last event, but any time you play a team on their home course, it is a different story."
Kansas will compete in a 19-team field that includes Central Arkansas, Central Michigan, Drake, Illinois State, Iowa State, Lamar, Missouri State, Nebraska, Oral Roberts, Saint Mary's, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Tarleton State, UTRGV, UTSA, Wichita State, Xavier, and host school Missouri.
Coach Bermel will travel with a lineup of seniors Will King, Luke Honner, junior Will Baker, Noah Holtzman, sophomore Hartej Grewal, and freshman Arthur Carlier. Holtzman will compete as an individual throughout the tournament.Â
"We had a good week of practice and I think the guys will be ready to play. As everyone knows, playing at Missouri is different."
Kansas will tee-off at 8:00 a.m. CT in a shotgun format both days. The tournament will consist of 36-holes on Monday, followed by 18-holes on Tuesday.Â
