QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"It was a tough weekend. West Virginia is incredibly good. First and foremost, tip our cap to them. I thought they, unfortunately, outplayed us in every aspect this weekend. They were better offensively, they were better on the mound, they were better defensively and they ran the bases better. I thought they checked every box. They're a complete team and they played really complete baseball this weekend. Very impressive job that Steve [Sabins] and his staff have done. That's the bad news. The good news is we've done that to a lot of teams for a really, really long stretch, and sometimes you have a weekend on the calendar circled in red. I wish it wasn't that way, but this was certainly not a great weekend for us. That being said, if you would have told me that we were going to have 20 wins going to the final weekend of Big 12 play, I would have given a lot for that. We've still got a long way to go in the season but tough one this weekend." – Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald
