Kansas Set to Host Jayhawk Classic

LAWRENCE, Kan. –-  The Kansas Volleyball team returns to Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena this weekend for the Jayhawk Classic with matches against Ole Miss on Friday and Grand Canyon on Sunday.
Kansas recorded its fourth consecutive sweep on Tuesday night with a 3-0 win at Wichita State.
Freshman outside hitter Taylor Stanley has led the Jayhawks' offense with 133 kills and 4.59 kills per set and has posted double-digit kills in every match this season. Sophomore setter Reese Messer anchors the offense with 250 assists with 9.62 assists per set and led the Jayhawks to a .279 attack percentage.
Senior middle blocker Aisha Aiono leads the block with 32 total blocks and 1.23 blocks per set, alongside Stanley and Reese Ptacek with 29 blocks and 1.00 blocks per set. Junior libero Olivia Hasbrook has paced the back row with a team-high 84 digs and 2.90 digs per set.
The Jayhawks open the weekend on Friday at 6 p.m. CT against Ole Miss. Ole Miss and Grand Canyon will play a neutral-site match on Saturday at 2 p.m. MT followed by Kansas closing out the weekend against Grand Canyon at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday.
