WOLCOTT, Colo. - Kansas women's golf is set to compete in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on September 21-23 at the Red Sky Ranch Golf Club in Walcott, Colorado.
Kansas is one of 20 teams competing in the Golfweek-hosted tournament, along with New Mexico State, Miami (FL), Mercer, UNC-Asheville, Northern Arizona, Ball State, Denver, Cal State Fullerton, Eastern Michigan, LSU, Southern California, Texas A&M, Arkansas-Little Rock, Colorado, Louisiana-Monroe, East Tennessee State, Pepperdine, UC Irvine and Arizona.
The Jayhawks won the overall team championship at the Red Sky in 2024, before finishing fifth in 2025.
"We are so fortunate to come back to Red Sky Golf Club for the Red Sky Classic again this year. Our team has a lot of great memories from this event, and we love the course design and layout," Kansas head coach Lindsay Kuhle said. "We feel very confident in our team coming off a great first tournament. Last week our practices have been focusing in on short game, wedges, and putting."
Kansas will travel the same five golfers – senior Lyla Louderbaugh, junior Ebba Nordstedt, sophomore Kinslea Jones, fifth year Anna Wallin and freshman Hannah Hall – who competed at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan in early September. Sophomore Marieke Ebens will also be making the trip to Colorado.
Louderbaugh posted an even-par tournament at the Folds of Honor, highlighted by a 71 (-1) on day two of the event. She tallied a 213 (-3) at the 2025 Red Sky Classic.
Nordstedt finished at +7 during the season-opening event in Michigan, led by a 71 (-1) in the opening round of the tournament. This will be her second time competing at the Red Sky.
Jones posted the same score as Nordstedt at the Folds of Honor Collegiate and will be competing at the Red Sky Classic for the second time in her collegiate career.
Wallin tied with Louderbaugh for the honor of highest Jayhawk scorer in the season opener, shooting a 68 (-4) in the opening round of the tournament on the way to an even-par outing. Wallin will make her Red Sky Classic debut this week.
Like Wallin, Hall shot a 68 (-4) on day two of the Folds of Honor, ending the week at +3. Hall will also make her Red Sky Classic debut this week.
Ebens is set to make her season debut at the Red Sky.
"Lyla, Anna, and Hannah were solid performers for our team last week and we are excited about them continuing their great play into this week," Kuhle said. "Kinslea, Marieke, and Ebba have the ability to go low with the other three and we feel these six can shoot low numbers and make birdies with their aggressive wedges, great feel around the green, and overall solid ball striking."
