2009 CROSS COUNTRY: Celebrated one of the greatest individual seasons by a KU women[apos]s runner in school history…Became the first KU female athlete to compete at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships since 1994…Placed 61st overall at the national championship meet (Nov. 23), where she ran a 6K time of 21:02.30 and finished ninth among the group of 37 individual qualifiers…Led the squad in all six meets of the 2009 season…Was the top individual finisher not on a national qualifying team at the Midwest Regional Championships (Nov. 14), which earned her an automatic bid to the Division I Championships…Ran the 6K course at regionals in a career-best 20:49.10 to take fifth place overall and earn All-Region honors for the second-consecutive year… Became the only female in school history to win back-to-back All-Big 12 honors after finishing 10th at the Big 12 Championships (Oct. 31) in a 6K time of 21:46.52…Placed 17th out of 247 runners at the ISU Pre-Nationals Invitational (Oct. 17), posting a 6K time of 21:03.70…Runner-up at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree (Oct. 3) and led her team to a second-place finish with a career-best 5K time of 17:19.90…Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team for the third-consecutive cross country season.
2009 OUTDOOR: Met the NCAA regional qualifying standard in the 1,500 meters four different times throughout the season…Earned a bid to the NCAA Championships in the 1,500 meters after finishing fifth at the Midwest Regional Championships (May 30) with a time of 4:26.04…Recorded the third-fastest 1,500 meter time in school history and her career-best at the Payton Jordan Invitational (May 2), clocking in at 4:20.95…Won the 1,500 meter and 800 meter events at the Kansas Relays (April 18), clocking in at 4:27.36 and 2:11.47, respectively…Ran a season-best 800-meter time of 2:11.47 at the John Jacobs Invitational (April 11), where she finished 11th overall.
2009 INDOOR: Set two school records during the indoor season in the mile and 1,000 meters, which she considers the most memorable moments of her track career…Set the mile record of 4:43.74 at the ISU Classic (Feb. 14)…Set the 1,000-meter record at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 28), with a time of 2:46.60, which was good for second place and eight points toward the team total, the most for any female KU athlete at the event…Recorded two individual victories throughout the season, in the 800 meters (2:13.96) and 3,000 meters (9:54.32). 2008 CROSS COUNTRY: Led the Jayhawks in all six meets, while capturing two individual medals…Finished first at the Bob Timmons Classic with a career-best 5K time of 18:53.10…Named Big 12 Runner of the Week (Sept. 13) after winning the Missouri Cross Country Challenge in a 5K time of 18:59.29…Placed ninth at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree with a 6K time of 21:32…Earned All-Big 12 First Team honors with a 12th-place finish at the Big 12 Championships…Finished in 15th place at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships to earn all-region honors with a 6K time of 21:29.70…Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team for the second consecutive year.
2008 OUTDOOR: Qualified for regionals with a personal-best time of 10:40.45 in the steeplechase at the Drake Relays…Placed 17th in the steeplechase at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships after posting a time of 10:49.65…Took home the title in the steeplechase at the Kansas Relays, posting a time of 11:02.83…Finished in first place in the 3,000 meters at the Missouri Relays with a time of 9:56.56…Placed fourth in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Championships as a sophomore, running a time of 10:56.13…Finished in sixth place in her only 800-meter run of the season, posting a time of 2:18.31 at the John Jacobs Invitational…Ran a personal-best time of 4:30.32 in the 1,500 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational, finishing 28th.
2008 INDOOR: Ran a personal-best time in the 1,000 meters during the preliminaries at the Big 12 Championships (2:50.44)…Placed sixth at the Big 12 Championships in the 1,000 meters with a finals time of 2:52.38…Set a personal best in the mile at the Husky Classic with an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 4:47.91…Won the 3,000 meters at the Kansas Invitational in a personal-best time of 10:03.21.
2007 CROSS COUNTRY: Earned USTFCCCA Division I All-Region honors with a 25th-place finish at the Midwest Regionals (21:05)…Was the team[apos]s No. 1 runner in every meet she competed in…Finished third at the Bob Timmons Classic with a time of 22:52…Placed ninth at the NCAA Pre-Nationals with a time of 21:47…Competed at the Big 12 Championships and ran a time of 22:04, good for 30th place…Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
2007 OUTDOOR: Specialized in the 3,000-meter steeplechase…Ran a time of 10:51.20 at the John Jacobs Invitational…Competed at the Kansas Relays with a time of 11:11.86…Landed a regional mark at the Cardinal Invitational running a time of 10:40.85…Scored points at the Big 12 Championships by finishing sixth (10:41.82)…Ran a personal-best 800-meter time of 2:11.56.
2007 INDOOR: Ran in eight races including four different events throughout the season…Her first collegiate track and field meet was at the K-State All-Comers meet in which she ran a time of 10:32.53 in the 3,000 meters…Finished the mile run at the ISU Classic in a season-best time of 4:58.02…Competed in the 800-meter run at the Illini Invitational in a time of 2:16.81…In the 1,000 meters, she ran her best time at the Big 12 Championships with a preliminary time of 2:53.10…Followed that performance with a time of 2:53.39 in the finals, good for fifth place.
2006 CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in all but one race for KU in an outstanding freshman season…Placed seventh at the Bob Timmons Classic (23:15.04)…Competed at the Roy Griak Invitational and placed 143rd (23:49.3)…Ran a personal-best 6K time of 22:49.0 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals…Finished third on the team and 58th overall at the Big 12 Championships (23:17.6)…Joined Kellie Schneider as the only two Jayhawk freshmen to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regionals and placed 84th overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was the top senior finisher at the 2005 Kansas 6A State Cross Country Championships, placing fourth…At the 2006 Kansas 6A State Track and Field Championships, recorded top-five finishes in the 1,600 meters (third), 800 meters (second) and 1,600 meter-relay (second).
PERSONAL: Daughter of Lisa Bonds…Majoring in political science…Plans to begin law school at Duke University in the Fall of 2010.
