2007-08 (Junior): Competed in [quote]C[quote] finals of the 100-yard butterfly at the 2008 Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas, racing to the third-fastest 100 fly mark on the team (57.83)… Also competed in the 50-yard freestyle at Big 12s… Swam the 50-yard free and 100-yard fly against Nebraska, Missouri and Northern Iowa… Competed as a member of the 200 and 400-yard free relays, as well as the 200 and 400-yard medley relays at the Nike Cup… Recorded a time of 59.73 in the 100 fly to advance to finals at the Nike Cup… Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team as the only Kansas swimmer to record a 4.0 GPA for the second-straight year… Was one of six swimmers in the Big 12 Conference to record the perfect 4.0 GPA.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Was the top finisher in the 100-yard butterfly against Iowa State, recording a personal best time in the event with a 57.84, fourth best on the 2006-07 KU best times list… Finished fourth in the 50 fly (27.98), fourth in the 100 fly (1:01.47), and sixth in the 200-yard fly (2:28.87) against Northern Iowa, landing her a fourth-place high point finish in the butterfly events… Was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished 20th (1:39.52) at the Terrapin Cup Invitational in College Park, Md. … Competed in the 50 free at the Terrapin Cup, finishing with a prelims time of 25.20, as well as the 100-yard butterfly (59.69) and 200 fly (2:21.48)… Recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA for the Fall 2006 semester, making her one of two Academic All-Big 12 First Team selections to record a perfect mark.
2005-06 (Freshman): Recorded career bests in the 100 fly (58.16), 200 fly (2:14.06) and 50 free (25.05) at the Big 12 Championships… Finished 16th in the 100-yard freestyle at the Minnesota Invite… Named a National Merit Scholar and KU Scholar Athlete.
High School (Great Bend): A three-time all-state team member… Four-time All-Western Athletic Conference team member… Holds the school record in the 100 free, 200 free, and 100 fly… Four-year swimming letterwinner.
Personal: Parents are Jeff and Rhonda Brozek… Mother, Rhonda, played volleyball at KU… Brother, Jason, swam at Butler University… A biochemistry major.
