LAWRENCE, Kan. – Head coach
Dan Fitzgerald has announced the addition of 11 signees to his 2025 recruiting class. Ten of the 11 of the additions are junior college transfers, while the other is a high school signee. The group will join the team for the 2025-26 academic year.

Kansas baseball will be looking to continue the momentum its built over the last two seasons under Fitzgerald and his staff. Kansas finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 31-23 and a 15-15 record in conference play. The 31 wins were the most for Kansas since 2019 and the 15 victories in Big 12 games were tied for the most in program history. The Jayhawks advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship in 2024 for the first time since 2013.

I loved campus the second I stepped foot in Lawrence and I knew that I wanted to choose Kansas the moment I got there. I love all of the coaches, they are easy to talk to and have great baseball minds and I have a good relationship with them. Also, the facilities are super nice and the equipment that they have is all top notch."

Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach Brandon Scott on Ebel: "We are very excited to get Dane in a Jayhawk uniform. Dane is an arm that we think fits the starter profile. Dane has three pitches that he throws for strikes. He has a mid 90's heater with a good slider and changeup. On top of that, he has great makeup. I wouldn't be shocked if Dane pitches himself into an NJCAA All-American honor this year at Lincoln Trail. The Great Lake Athletic Conference always has strong pitchers. I think Dane will be the best in that league this year."

Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach Brandon Scott on Thomson: "Ty is exactly what I look for in a left-handed pitcher. He is 6'5", has good carry and extension on the fastball. His out pitch is the fastball. I love guys who can get swing-and-miss with the fastball. He also has a good split that he can use on right-handed and left-handed hitters. I think that as Ty cleans up a couple things he could be a big leaguer in a few years. We look forward to him making those jumps in a Jayhawk uniform in 2026."
