OCOEE, Fla. – Former Kansas golfer Yupaporn Kawinpakorn collected her fifth top-finish on the National Women’s Golf Association (NWGA) tour with a second-place performance at the Forest Lake Golf Course. With that effort, Kawinpakorn now leads the tour point standings with 18,153 after 12 events.
Kawinpakorn has finished among the top-two in four of her last events. At the Forest Lake Golf Course, Kawinpakorn fired a 10-under, 206 over three rounds. Despite shooting a 6-under, 66 on the final day, she was not able to claim medalist honors.
The Jayhawk All-American finished with 13 birdies for the event and also carded three bogeys, all in the first round.
