PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Kansas women's golf team is set to compete in the PING ASU Invitational at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona from March 23-25.
Kansas is coming off a second-place finish at the Yale Invitational West, where four Jayhawks finished inside the top 20, and junior Lyla Louderbaugh won the event for her second career win.Â
"We are really excited to be back at ASU and in this event, we had a really strong finish last year and we have played this course many times," KU Head Coach Lindsay Kuhle said.
Kansas will compete in a 16-team field that includes Florida Atlantic, Northwestern, Hawaii, Drake, Washington, Denver, Oregon State, Abilene Christian, UCLA, NAU, Baylor, New Mexico, USC, Fullerton, and host school Arizona State.Â
Kuhle will travel with a lineup of seniors Amy DeKock, Anna Wallin, junior Louderbaugh, sophomore Ebba Nordstedt, and freshman Kinslea Jones. Sophomore Jillian Fatkin will travel with the team and compete as an individual throughout the tournament.
Kansas has competed in the event for the past three seasons, and is coming off a third-place finish in 2025, its best finish in the event.Â
"We are excited with our lineup," Kuhle said. "We are keeping the same five with Lyla, Ebba, Anna, Kinsley and Amy. I feel like our players are really starting to improve and play their best golf of the season right now, so we are excited for another competitive field on a great course."
The Jayhawks are set to tee off at 9:40 a.m. CT on hole one, and will be paired with UCLA and Northwestern. The tournament will consist of three 18-hole rounds with a shotgun start format on the third and final round Wednesday.Â
