LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer will close out the regular season with Senior Night on Thursday evening as the Jayhawks welcome No. 11 Colorado to Rock Chalk Park. The match is slated to begin at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Kansas (12-3-3, 6-3-1 in Big 12) picked up a 2-0 win over Utah on Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City. KU scored a penalty kick by Livvy Moore in the 75th minute, before Lexi Watts added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute in the 2-0 victory.

"We picked up two great wins last week on the road, but we still can improve before postseason play starts," Kansas head coach Nate Lie. "We look to carry the momentum from last week into tomorrow's matchup against a great Colorado team."

The Jayhawks are currently ranked 13th in RPI. Kansas clinched its spot in the Big 12 Tournament over the weekend and sits in a tie for fifth place in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 6-3-1 record and 19 points.

Kansas is second in the Big 12 in goals scored this year with 38, and is 22nd in the country in corner kicks per game, averaging 6.61 corner kicks per match. Watts is seventh in the Big 12 and leads Kansas with nine goals and 20 points.
Jillian Gregorski is tied for ninth in the Big 12 with eight goals.
Caroline Castans is 27th in the country and is tied for fourth in the Big 12 with eight assists.Â

ABOUT COLORADO
No. 11 Colorado has a record of 13-2-3 (7-1-2 in Big 12), as the Buffaloes are coming off of a 1-0 win over Arizona on Sunday. CU is led by Hope Leyba, who has scored 18 goals and has tallied 37 points on the season. Leyba is second in the country in goals scored this season and fifth in the country in points with 37.

SERIES HISTORY
Kansas and Colorado will meet for the 20th time in program history on Thursday, with Colorado leading the all-time history 10-8-1. The series is tied 5-5-0 in games played in Lawrence. The last matchup came on Sept. 29, 2024, with Colorado taking a 1-0 victory in Boulder.

Prior to the start of Thursday's match, Kansas will honor five senior student-athletes. Saige Wimes, Emika Kawagishi, Lexi Watts, Mackenzie Hammontree and Emily Minard will all be recognized.
