LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer had six student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. The winners included defender
Caroline Castans, midfielder
Jillian Gregorski, midfielder
Kate Langfelder, midfielder
Livvy Moore, forward
Lexi Watts and forward
Saige Wimes.
To qualify for the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, along with having at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Nominated student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games.
Castans, a junior from Flower Mound, Texas, is in her third season and is majoring in marketing. Gregorski, a sophomore from Wethersfield, Connecticut, is playing in her second season at KU and is currently studying civil engineering. Langfelder, a sophomore from Wyckoff, New Jersey, is in her second season as a Jayhawk and is studying pre-business. Moore, a junior transfer from Oregon and a native of Deer Park, Washington, is pursuing a major in speech language and hearing sciences. Watts, a senior from Lenexa, Kansas, is majoring in marketing. Wimes, a redshirt junior from Kansas City, Missouri, is in her fourth season and is studying sociology.
Castans and Watts were named to the team last season. The six selections are the most since the 2023 season, when KU also had six selections.
The Academic All-District Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. A select number of All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
